Church Life

2019 Memorial Day Picnic

It is important for the body of Christ to join together in worship, service, and fellowship.  We seek to accomplish this in several ways.

Weekly Prayer Meeting

Each Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM, we meet for a time of prayer at the church.  Although a short devotional is usually shared, the time is set aside especially for prayer.  As a community of believers this Wednesday night prayer time is a special time in the midst of the trials and cares of the work week, where we can come together and hear of each other’s burdens, share in each other’s joys, and lift each other and the community around us up to our Lord in prayer.

On the fourth Wednesday of each month, instead of meeting at the church, we meet with the residents of the Madison Village Assisted Living Center at 6:15 PM for a time of singing, a message, encouragement, and fellowship.

Fun and Fellowship

Often we will get together as individual families or as a church to enjoy times of fun, recreation, and fellowship, with meals or picnics at members homes, camping trips, movie nights, etc.

Fellowship Dinners

On the first Sunday of each month we join together for a fellowship meal following the morning service. This provides a good time of fellowship, a chance to meet visitors and talk while enjoying excellent food.

Missions

“The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” – Matthew 9:37-38

We have a strong desire to be used by God to minister to our fellow Christians and to see the lost come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.  We pray this will happen through our foreign and home missions, and through ministering to our local community.
